About Jonathan Lim
Jonathan Lim performs exclusively for the Singapore Armed Forces Central Band. Having received his LTCL Diploma with distinction (Saxophone Performance) in 2004, he leads as the Saxophone Section Leader, in charge of saxophone training in the band. He performs on all voices of the saxophone from Soprano to Baritone. He co-leads the SAF Big Band and doubles on the Flute, Clarinet and WX5 midi wind instrument.
Wind Ensembles he had the privilege of performing with includes West Winds (Band of the Bukit Batok Community Club) and the Singapore Wind Symphony. He co-founded SaxPress, a saxophone ensemble whose repertoire ranged from Bach to jazz and contemporary works. Besides the SAF Central Band, Jonathan also performs with Thomson Big Band, SQ4 saxophone quartet, Broken Orange Fence (jazz sextet), A Little Dream, Yours Truly and teaches the art of saxophone playing on a freelance basis.
